Okays I'm goin to be honest if there's one good thing that this timeline has done right, was Jhonny cage.

I've come back to watch this at least 10 times since it came out because there's always something I miss. The thing that never makes sense to me is Cammy and Bison. I don't even know if Capcom knows. Sometimes Cammy is human, possesed, sometimes a "clone" body. Yet she still appears to age. Same with Bison. He apparently keeps dying but whenever he comes back he shows age like greying hair and such....like...if you were a soul that just goes into a clone when you die, why choose one that looks older? Want to keep up with your real age?

Maybe it’s just me, but I think it’d be cool if Batman used the “All the people I’ve killed by letting you live” line from The Dark Knight Returns during the scene where he kills Joker. Which would be very fittingly ironic considering how close he came to killing Joker in that story while he actually does it here.

It’s a game changer but it’s also to early in my opinion. The fact that it’s still only 4 characters a year and they take 50% of the pack and Elena a character that’s not high on the voting pole makes it worse. It’s almost a disrespect to fans who are still looking for the most top voted character like Dudley, C.Viper, Makoto, Cody and Sagat. It’s almost as if Capcom isn’t listening to fans and are doing what they want. I’m not against these characters Bison is my main so I’m happy but I look at this and think this is to early and we need more fan favorites back first. That’s just my opinion.

Since SF6 now has two SNK characters, it's only a matter of time before SNK to do the same thing by bringing in a SF character in Garou.

The final fury characters added is actually pretty cool addition if u ask me canon or non-canon I always felt Street Fighters and SNK In general fit hand and glove if we go from a 90s perspective the animations were similar the characters stories were never too deep to not be added to another lore of fighting and a Ken vs Terry match is a dreamer so I can live with it I’d like to see more plus Geese did good in Tekken so hey why not ? Street fighter isn’t too far off

The story was great all they had to add was to say that both the good and bad endings are Canon that way they can end the multiverse stuff that way they can keep invasions by saying they are from the bad endings timelines aftermath after Shang Sung defeat, scorpion is still pissed, raiden is evil, bi han is the subzero and evil, Johnny cage can be female in this timeline for janet cage, and his army is only the zatarens and the vampire race hence both their invadions are cannon

my ranking: 1. rock howard i absolutely love to me as the best new generation as dominated mind was a natural goodbye to the older fatal fury characters with the new ones in motw carrying the spirit of it that terry being the only veteran isn't as awkward with rock having a great story like mai shiranui(with the ova's giving a possibility to what happened with her & andy as he trained hokutomaru as a worthy legacy opponent )/joe that alongside inspiring parts of kof(11 was basically introducing the mark of the wolves characters/maximum impact being what if the fatal fury timeline continued into kof.) & is finally getting a sequel in cotw(also the special showing duck king/blue mary's new looks & giving that version of terry a good send off for now hanging out with his girlfriend leaving the future to rock's decision/the villain kain actually being impacted by that new generation like rock & even b. jenet.:3) showing snk's love for their characters charming world with how alongside capcom's/arc system works being the best writing & narrative in fighting games. 2.jin kazama as he handled the heroic character well(outside his dumb decisions in 6 being why he ranks lower/ also not being pure evil like his father/boringly straight like lars till 8.) nearly getting lost to his darkness only to redeem himself while the roster also felt like a natural new era mixing old & new with a reason for what happened to it's old guard(even if it was revealed ogre only killed king/poor forest ending up in a accident every game like getting beaten up by lili for his invitation or vehicle crash.) that 8 should take note of with how the newcomers weren't very good in 7/others being missing in 8 like anna williams(who should've taken azucena's spot in story mode befriending steve over their similarities to nina being a petty ungrateful boring child.) 3.street fighter has a problem with the roster being screwed up by the newcomers like 3rd strike only having ryu/ken/akuma with chun li in the last one after only being a cameo alongside alex just not being as strong with how his ties to gill felt a bit forced(the udon comics tbh handle it better alongside a way better fight with gill 6/7 should do.:3) with sean feeling more like a new version of dan hibiki in story(his sister being more badass & all his endings outside hers being beaten to a pulp with one of his arcade ending's implying it was a punch drunk dream.)compared to gameplay/the roster while i love some feeling alien,outright creepy or not fitting to the series like twelve or remy/unexplored in gill's case outside recently,4 badly attempting with abel(whose just a boring cammy rip-off only there to foreshadow charlie's return.)/seth when the focus is juri as the antagonist and m. bison's return leading to 5 & 6 while i love the newcomers luke is the worst attempt as sakura kasugano should be the new generation of street fighter's lead with him as a guide/being very half hearted with the actual story of world tour and half the 2 characters shouldn't have returned and been replaced with more 3rd strike/alpha/4/5 in base not dlc. 4.while it get's fanfictiony and ruined it's timeline twice from mk really not having the best story in fighting games(that'll just reboot itself again let's be honest that's going to 100% happen.) i did like cassie/jaquie(especially her moments with her dad being the only good moment of 11's story.) fine that while not as charming as the 1st 3 ranks did like their moments as friends that i kinda wish they showed up in one outside an insult cameo. 5.soul calibur's the absolute worst with it's legacy as the main character's a pure hypocritical villain,none of the legacy characters keep the spirit of the originals(taki's disappearance being the worst.)/ones that don't cameo having their story go nowhere like ivy that it's for the better they got erased from history to focus on the better originals that soul calibur should focus giving a passionate cinematic story for what's been missing since the first few games. honorable mention:kof does a great job with it's legacy being episodic while not forgetting it's characters(with only the ash saga being bad at it with how unsympathetic ash was with his story being a mess.) especially 15 giving closure/new beginnings for it's legacy(even if the verse saga is more isla's story than shunei.)while dead or alive should honestly have less of a serious plot with how hard it is to take seriously/tried to hard in 6 think going the story direction of 1-4 & dimensions character moments with elliot as the star(considering all that happens with mascot kasumi is repeatedly getting kicked out of her village.) with how he has a lot of charmingly enjoyable moments with the doa gals like christie & honoka/marie rose.

Something that doesnt get acknowledged enough is that the person that created Street Fighter also created Fatal Fury. So Terry and Mai are basically Step-Siblings to Ryu and Ken. So even if they come from a different series, they are still related. Now personally, I hope this is a one time thing. I really dont want Capcom making this a habit.

to me, midway had a lot of disappointing outcomes for a lot of the characters. I really disliked old man sub zero. disliked that liu kang died then became a zombie. never cared for johnny cage and jax during the 3D era. I hated lizard reptile and favored his arcade era. hated the outcome of noob and smoke. Hated that cyrax was also wasted. Scorpion also died.. like bruh sure he was still playable. But he died lmao. idk, midway's 3D era was so disappointing to me. The arcade era was awesome. But the way the characters were handled in the 3D era was just so disappointing. And so many wasted characters. the netherrealm timeline isnt perfect. But feels far less disappointing or pointless to me

idk, the first timeline was pretty disappointing as well. For example, Reptile having a lack luster background and never being in human form again. Liu kang dying, kai being wasted, scorpion dying, smoke and noob being pointless and wasted potential, most of the ninjas turning into cyber ninjas, cyber ninjas all basically being wasted and missing their potential, old man sub zero, zombie liu kang, shujinko and taven being random additions and creating new story and antogonists even tho we didnt finish the stories before their addition. Etc, the list goes on. Idk, the netherrealm timeline isnt perfect. But it feels far less disappointing than the original timeline
